Tablescapes For Christmas – Wow! It’s Christmas table time! I love this time of year when we get to play with lights and sparkles and everything is joyous and bright. And, as always, I love to set a beautiful table. This year I decided on a neutral Christmas table with copper accents and a green skirt and platinum centerpiece garland.

The main inspiration for this table came from a cable knit table runner I originally saw at HomeGoods and made the mistake of not buying. I searched high and low online and finally found a great one at JC Penney!

I started envisioning a rustic yet elegant tablescape with my favorite copper accents and a tall cedar wreath. Then. When I went to Trader Joe’s and found they had tons of fresh fir wreaths in stock, I danced with joy!

Elegant Gold And Silver Christmas Tablescape

While I love seeing fresh green on any table, I really wanted this table to be more elegant. The solution was to add Fox, Champagne Garland to my fresh fir. I found it at Michael’s and it’s definitely my new obsession this Christmas season.

I hung small twigs along the length of the table and added some white-tipped pinecones and glittery ornaments in soft copper tones.

A combination of green and champagne on cream, the cable knit runner is the look I want to achieve.

The next step is to include the location settings. I wanted to mix up the cream tones of the runner but still keep this table warm and toasty, so I decided to layer several plates in different patterns and tones.

Easy Ideas For Creating A Simple Blue Christmas Tablescape

I started with a polished silver charger followed by my favorite pottery plates. Then I paired a beautiful patterned TAUPE sheet with my new SNOWFLAKE sheet. I put a chocolate brown satin napkin inside to add some warmth.

I used my new copper flatware from World Market, which got me excited to add more copper elements to the table. I decided that a copper cup found at a local antique shop would work well as a cup of water or hot spiced cider. And the Champagne Coupe is the perfect special touch to the Christmas table.

These are super easy to make and next week I’ll be sharing a tutorial on how you can make them in just minutes!

I decided to add a little extra sparkle to my copper candlesticks with my glass mercury votive holders and gray candles.

Simple Ideas To Style A Beautiful Farmhouse Christmas Tablescape

I love how this tablescape turned out, and the best part is that the table garland is so simple. This will make and last a week! No fuss or muss! Wow!

I think the combination of green, cream and copper is the perfect neutral combination for a soft and elegant Christmas table or any holiday event! What do you think!? Comment below 🙂 I’m so excited to share this elegant silver and gold Christmas table with you! Sharing below all the details of how I put it together. Creating the Christmas/holiday table is always so much fun for me and I look forward to the special memories our family will make sitting around this table.

I love Lenox dinnerware, from Good Bone China to everyday food. I felt like I hit the jackpot when Lenox contacted me a few months back and asked me if I’d like to design a table for them using their beautiful dinnerware. Ummmmm, please pinch me! Yes! I’ve been eyeing Contempo Luxe dinnerware for a while so I chose that style along with a few other items to make this beautiful table!

As I said earlier in a previous post, beauty is in the details. I started by making this winter pants ornament.

Dining Delight: Cozy Plaid Christmas Tablescape With Garland Centerpiece

To make this I started with a layer of fake fir branches. I put the three branches in the same direction with the trunk/branch section pointing down the middle, and then repeat on the other side until it overlaps and interlocks in the middle.

You can (sort of) watch it below. I apologize for not taking a picture of this before I finished. Sometimes I get so involved in the project that I forget to take pictures!

Next, I repeated the same idea as above with frosted pine branches, frosted eucalyptus, mistletoe stems with white berries, and painted pine cones. Finally, I added frosted white peonies to fill in the holes. It is all done with fake flowers and greenery.

Next, I added these beautiful Lenox Winty Woods tree figurines. I used three sets of these, one at each end and the other I put in the middle of the garland. Then I added some gold candlesticks.

Placement Placement is also important and what I find adds a lot of beauty to the table. I laid out all the utensils and other items I was planning on using and placed them on my island to make it easy to organize the table.

I love these rugs because they are so versatile and affordable. They also mix well with many different dishes.

After I made the bed, I hung the gold charger, then the Contempo Luxe dinner and salad plates. I put a golden and white cloth between the plates.

The flatware also comes from Lenox and is two tone gold and silver. It’s called the Vintage Jewel Gold 5-Piece Place Setting

One of the things I love about setting the table like this is that it is versatile. I can use this midwinter garland all winter long. When the Christmas/holiday season is over, I can take out the Christmas tree, replace the salad plates, and replace the napkins to freshen up the table. This schedule will be valid throughout the winter season. Click here to see how I used this same garland centerpiece for multiple tables!

Here you can see more details of the overhead shot! The position of each layer and the space in the middle of the garland is what makes it interesting and beautiful.

I also added some green pillows on the last chair to add some texture. Emerald green in the dining room.

Do you see why I am obsessed with these foods? The edge of this Lenox cookware is beautiful. It reminds me of the antique Limoges Havilland Ranson Chinese patterns that I’ve been collecting over the years.

I usually use napkin rings but I decided to switch things up and folded the napkin into this unique shape and placed it under the salad plate.

I also added a little frosted plant to the side table in the corner of the dining room.

You can find all the sources below. The Gold Charger is from Pier1 but I haven’t seen it in a while so it may be discontinued. The placemats are from Hobby Lobby.

I’ve linked some Lenox wintergreen plants below that will fit your table or winter decor. The holidays have arrived, and I’m embracing my love for gold again this season. So start planning your guest list and menu (these Christmas party recipes will help) and let’s party!

I recently shared a very beautiful green and red holiday table here, but I also love white and gold together during the Christmas season! It reminds me a bit of “White Winter Wonderland” and even though we rarely get snow in Nashville, at least the dining room can be set for the occasion. ,

I’ve been eyeing these gold sheets for months before I spotted them on sale on Black Friday. I can’t wait to use this year-round, but I sure want to use it for my Christmas tablescape this year. I placed them on top of my favorite white dinner plate.

Christmas Table Settings For A Festive Holiday Meal

The Gold Charger is my favourite. I am often asked where they come from, but sadly I caught them two summers ago in a small wall piercing shop in Amsterdam. So I’m not helping much there, but I found some similar looks from Sur La Table that are equally beautiful!

I love adding these mini boxwood wreaths to the backs of my dining chairs! I’ve used them for several tablescapes, and it’s easy to change out the ribbons to match your design. This ribbon is from NashvilleWraps.com!

At each place setting, I used magnolia leaves with gold markers to make simple place cards. I don’t have calligraphy-level handwriting by any means, but it can be made beautifully and very easily nonetheless. I love the personal touch, especially during the holidays.

I used special magnolia leaves, cedar and holly in the center of the table I made by gathering all my gold trees and money together.
