Are Lush Products Really Good For Your Skin – I met Lush when I went to USC (University of Southern California) on an exchange program as we didn’t have a Lush store in Thailand at that time. We went shopping and I passed this lovely perfumery and had to pause to see what was inside. My friends told me that they sell bath, body and face products that you won’t find anywhere else. At the time, I only experimented with a few face masks and loved it!
The real obsession started when I went to do my Masters in London. It was colder than LA so I needed thicker face and body creams. It was then that I decided to investigate Lush further. And that’s where I discovered their body creams, body conditioners (if you don’t know what they are, I’ll explain later), bath bombs, massage bars and everything to make you happy. Bathroom.

Since then I started trying many of their products and got hooked on a few. When I had to leave to return to Thailand, half of my luggage was Lush products. Seriously.

Lush products are handcrafted in small batches to ensure the freshest quality and their ingredients are ethically sourced from the highest quality materials. They encourage the recycling of their packaging (you can bring back 5 containers to exchange for a new face mask). They also come with Bare products (products that usually don’t require packaging) that come in bar form. I mean, they have shampoo bars, massage bars, henna bars, and other things that you think they couldn’t do, but they do.
Their employees are probably the happiest people on the planet. I have never met anyone who was angry or misinformed about their products. Everyone I met was very knowledgeable about the products and ingredients and they are very helpful.
When I was in England, I went to the store once a week because it was fun for me. I can kill 2-3 hours every weekend wandering around the Lush Oxford Street flagship store. I was so in love.

Now Lush is available in Thailand, I’m so happy! Although the products are made in Japan and shipped here (because our country is too hot to produce many products), I’m glad we finally have a store.
The prices are a bit high for Thai consumers – I mean they are already expensive compared to the cost of living in western countries, and adding the shipping cost made it even more expensive here compared at our cost of living. But it seems like true Lush fans generally aren’t afraid to splurge on their favorite items (myself included). I mean, I think the joy of using the products is worth the price I pay, and I stock up like crazy when there’s a sale. And that’s why I started writing this blog because I had accumulated a lot of lust material haha.
Let’s get started, okay? Where are we going to start? I would like to start with the body scrubs. I have tried their sea salt scrubs, sand scrubs, scrub bars and many more. In this blog, I will only write about the 3 that I currently use.

I think this scrub is the gentlest of all the Lush scrubs I’ve tried. My boyfriend says it smells like toothpaste, which is all menthol, peppermint, and spearmint. Since I live in a hot country, I like everything that cools. I use this scrub after playing tennis. It’s such a relaxing spa session after hours in the sun.
Next, Ocean Salt, my first Lush scrub. I find it to be the most abrasive because it contains real sea salt, so I only use it for my feet (too expensive).
Sea salt is rich in minerals and is great for cleansing and polishing the skin. We also add rich, silky avocado oil, coconut oil, and seaweed to keep your skin feeling soft, smooth, and revitalized.
If you feel you need a good scrub, apply to dry skin and rub all over in circular motions, or apply to damp skin for a gentler buff.

I don’t know if you can see it here, but the brush patches are bigger on this part. Although the label says it’s also a face scrub, I find it too abrasive to use on my face.
Next is your most common body scrub. Common, yet special with all the real sea salt, minerals and such an appealing smell.
An exfoliating shower scrub that can also be used to cleanse, volumize and add shine. Enriched with mineral-rich sea salt, Rub Rub Rub can be used as a gentle scrub on damp skin or on dry skin for a great glow before hitting the shower. A natural antiseptic and exfoliator, sea salt combines with plenty of lemon juice to rejuvenate your skin and add shine and volume to your hair.

I don’t just keep one closed bottle, I keep two lol. I was afraid it would end. I just can’t live with this shampoo. It contains mint (remember when I said I love anything with a cooler?). Yes, this shampoo has a light cooling sensation which is good for my scalp! But don’t worry, it’s not that cool, just to cool me down a bit. This is the only gel shampoo from Lush that I’ve used (I’ve also used the shampoo bars but I won’t review them now).
Ok, next is my favorite product from Lush. Literally my favorite. If I could only choose one product from Lush to use for the rest of my life, this would be it. American cream conditioner.
