I don’t know everyone, but I started to decorate very well from the beginning of 2020. The first tree I saw in this room was a black and white Buffalo Plaid Christmas tree that was mostly Walmart decorations. I really love the way black and white pop on the walls, but I’m a traditionalist at heart when it comes to holiday decor.

Actually I have 3 fully decorated Christmas trees on the ground floor and one is in my son’s room. We really enjoy Christmas in this house and we want it to be Christmas every day. Our love of Christmas is the inspiration for our seasonal Christmas tree shapes. On our site you can find a Valentine’s Day tree, an Easter tree, a harvest tree, and a Farmhouse Rae Dunn inspired tree.

The Red Plaid-inspired Christmas tree features thin clustered spruce trees purchased from Target last season. I like this tree because the branches are strong and compact and the color is nice. They fall perfectly into place and hold the jewelry perfectly.

I wanted this tree shape to appear POP on a white shiplap wall, and I feel like that’s how it turned out. Classic matte and gloss red trims blend with rustic farmhouse décor.

My obsession with proverbs really shined through in this tree. Mixed up TJ Maxx’s jewelry with some Dollar General names. The TJ Maxx maxims were $5 each and the Dollar General maxims were only $1!! I really should have taken more!

The key to a perfect tree is to populate the tree correctly. I choose not to add a garland to this tree which is unusual for me as I generally like the layering effect. A garland helps fill in any empty space that might draw attention.

Instead, she opted for jewelery in red, white and black. I think the mix of textures and sizes worked really well for this tree.
