Coral And Navy Blue Bedroom
Coral And Navy Blue Bedroom – Last week, I talked about combining navy and coral in my wardrobe, so today I thought I would talk about taking that color combination and incorporating it into my home. friend!!
When you see this color combination, is it just you wearing it or can you see this bold and bright color combination becoming a design style?!
Coral And Navy Blue Bedroom
My personal preference in home decor is in the “light and airy” aspect, so painting the entire wall navy blue isn’t something I hate, but certainly not something I have. I can see myself working in my own home. I love how the dark wall in this room is offset by bright white curtains, a white couch, and a white fireplace. Then the coral pops up in all the accessories that come into play…. throw pillows, flowers, etc.

In this room, the walls are mostly painted white, except for the wall behind the bed. Even though it’s painted with a navy blue pattern, the white is still a bit exposed and the rest of the walls in the room are white. The curtains & accessories in this room are navy and coral! White walls and white bedding make my “light and airy” heart beat faster!
But, I love this office/studio! Again, I’m not sure if this is something I would do in my own home, but this room is great! I absolutely love that little sofa, the lovely white desk & chair and the gallery wall put them together perfectly!! It totally speaks to my Type A personality with its matching frames & rugs….not to mention its beautiful (completely simple) lines!!
When exploring this color combination, I was definitely drawn to the predominantly white rooms with accents of navy & coral on the throw pillows and other accessories, as shown in the pictures. This picture.
These rooms are very appealing to me and are definitely rooms I can see in my own home.

Changing from dark navy blue to light blue will change the whole feel & look of the space….
I first came across this space about a week ago on Shaunna’s blog….she is participating in the My World Coloring Challenge and is starting to incorporate some corals into her own home. If you haven’t seen Shaunna’s blog sometime….you must check it out!!
Anyway, this room, (again my opinion) is perfect in every way! I especially love the light blue wood paneled walls and the beautiful chandelier! This room has a cool feel, but brings warmth with the rug and all the wood tones in the furniture. Today we are diving into my crane & canopy master bedroom refresh. I’m sure you’re all familiar with my master bedroom by now, which comes in coral and green from my Spring 2016 One Room Challenge makeup. It was almost 6 years ago and in a different house. I love this color combination but my fake has faded and it’s too late to change the bedding. I love everything I’ve done in this room, who wants to spend the money to replace everything with the exact same thing? I’m not! So when Crane & Canopy reached out and offered to provide a new set of bedding to start a new master bedroom, I jumped at the opportunity.
If you don’t already know, Crane & Canopy is an online bedding brand based in SF that specializes in luxury bedding, duvet covers and home decor. They currently have over 100 duvet sets to choose from, so the hardest part of the process was choosing which duvet cover would work best in my space.
Dazzling Colors That Go With Navy Blue
You know how I solved that, let’s make a mood board! I know this isn’t about a whole room redecorating, just refreshing the bedding, so my starting point is to look at the furniture and rug. The combination of coral navy blue and chinoiserie motif is inspiring in a number of different ways. I find the Linden Collection in both navy and coral to fit this scheme.
In the end, I chose a navy blue linden mattress, one of the favorites of designers Crane & Canopy. It is made from 100% premium extra-long staple cotton and is woven with a yarn count of 400, making the chair super soft. Unlike other duvet covers, this duvet cover has some great features like a cover with hidden zippers (vs buttons), corner ties to keep your duvet from slipping, and the sides of the duvet cover. Highlight flange for more pop of color. You know I’m always up for some extra color.
With the rest of the coral, I wanted to alternate the bedspreads between coral and blue to draw attention. I chose to repeat the couch-like coral color in the duvet and again in the Euro shams.
Coral is divided by crisp navy blue bedding. A navy blue throw pillow made from textured fabric that I purchased has a strong navy blue front. I also used these fabric strips to create the trim that I attached to my coral euro imitations. This allows me to combine navy and coral into one piece so I can repeat both again.
Crazy For Coastal Decor
I added a gorgeous CHIANG MAI Sage Dragons fake. This print helps bring all the colors together. You can see navy blue on the duvet, coral on the rug and green on the nightstand, all of which work well together.
By chance, I also tied my hidden newspaper needle to the top of the bookshelf. He looked a bit out of place since then, but now his naval background fits right in.
I admit somewhere that I get a little nervous in most of my projects. Will it come together as I imagined? With this project the stakes are even higher because I have the necessary “front” to survive. Well, you can see me sitting pretty in my new crane and canopy master bedroom. I couldn’t be happier with the results. My navy bodhi mattress was soft and comfortable. Navy is also beautiful in hunter blue. And “Daisy,” the official bed-tested dachshund backed her up. Thanks for winning Crane & Canopy!

I’m so glad her room is finally complete enough to share with all of you today. I’ve shown you every little piece of her room, but today I’m finally sharing her entire room and all the projects I’ve worked on over the past few months.
I initially thought her room would be mint, coral, and black, but Paige quickly realized that she didn’t like those colors. Since it’s her room and her opinion, we changed the color scheme to navy, coral, and yellow. I couldn’t be happier with the way her room came out and love the new color scheme. I know I’ve said it before, but this room is definitely my favorite room in the house.

I started redecorating her room with a plank and a wall of planks. It went through many color changes until I decided on Sherwin Williams’ Silent Coral.
The gallery wall is made up of a collection of $8.00 Goodwill frames that I painted first coral, then updated to navy blue.
I couldn’t find a coral nightgown, so I used this curtain from Target.
