I was so frustrated. Looks like my 3rd chemical pregnancy in 6 months. I test with Wondfos every morning and FMU and yesterday I took FRER. I’m going around 23 dpo today and didn’t get a faint positive until 15 dpo. The first picture shows the progress of the line until yesterday. Pictures and a test show this morning wondfo. I know it must be another chemical. But for the 1% hope I have left, does anyone have any positive/success stories where the path is lighter?

This happened to me and I’m 6 weeks old now. My doctor told me to stop testing. After I got my positive, he told me that he would offer me blood work so that I would stop freaking out when my test was lighter. I’ll go that way so you don’t have to worry. That doesn’t help your little bean!

And your 22 dpo line is dark. Mine is the same in HCG strips. They are even more vulnerable. I won’t worry. 🙂 You are pregnant!
Once you get enough hCG, the line will not be able to detect it properly anymore. I think it’s called the hook effect. I stopped testing and stressing myself.
I have found WONDFOs very terrible for testing progression! I would ask your doctor for lab work to make sure your levels are up and the progesterone is strong.
I know… but I still can’t help but feel anxious when yesterday morning, afternoon, and this morning everything was so much lighter. My gut says it’s chemistry. Hope to hear some success stories when the exam is easier 🙁

My tests are getting easier. And that’s when I got the bloody job. They confirmed I was pregnant and told me to stop the test. So many hormones and food and drink and time can affect a girl’s brightness.
Oh and for some reason my tests always come back early in the morning. In the afternoon they shine. I stopped worrying and just waited for the blood work. All my tests were easy.
FRER looks good to me. For 22 dpo I think the test line will be darker than the control. I still have one more FRER so if I take it on Monday if I don’t start bleeding before but I imagine I will 🙁
Google “crook effect in pregnancy test”…it has to do with your HCG being so high, the test won’t pick it up. So you need to dilute your urine. Did this with my first two kids.

Should I be worried that my test lines aren’t darker now? Now 15dpo last test from today.
The last in line is the last? I would be concerned that it is noticeably lighter than the previous one.
Yes it is. 15 DPO. It doesn’t stop but it’s still a little scary that it’s lighter than it is. Thanks for your input.

Are you using FMU for all tests?? If not, maybe the last one has been diluted a little so it is not strong?
I do not. The last one lasted two hours but still I wish today was darker 😔
I think it’s too light and you’ll probably miscarry. That happened to me last month. Instead of darkening it was lighter.. I got a hcg blood test at the hospital and the level was only at 20. Then I ended up miscarrying that night at 4w6d.
Thank you for your kind words and I am very sorry for your two losses. It must be hard to get through! But I had my HCG blood work done yesterday and the result was 25. My midwife said it hasn’t counted because I haven’t bled and to check again tomorrow to see if it doubles. I’m not getting my hopes up but it would be great if this turned out well!

I’m so sorry! I have had 2 back to back miscarriages and I know how terrible it can be. I am pregnant again and this so far seems to be progressing. Don’t lose hope!!
And you may not miscarry, it may just be different urine etc.. but I know there is a possibility if the line does not progress properly in a few days.. how are you?
Thanks for your input and honesty. I started having very light pink bleeding which I assumed was the start of another miscarriage for me. I tested again this morning with FMU & the lines are darker than before but nothing crazy. Looks like I’m just waiting for the miscarriage to end to start trying again 😔

I’m 15 dpo and in the same boat, my line is lighter than 12 dpo, not a huge change but a little lighter and I’m surprised it’s the same. Please keep us updated on your status.

From all my research no, you shouldn’t. Pregnancy tests do not measure lower or higher HCG concentrations. It only measures whether it exists or not. No visible line means you are still pregnant. If you are worried about your levels, I would call and ask the Dr to do a blood test. You can also Google DRS opinions on line progression.
