If you’re new to juicing, I’d say start with a 3-day cleanse. It’s not easy – and you want to make sure you don’t always go crazy! So I vote to start on the short side and see how your body reacts. And definitely, don’t skip the pre- and post-cleanse – I’ve done it before and it’s so hard without a pre/post schedule.

I usually prepare for 3 days followed by a cleanse. I cut out basically everything except fruits and vegetables. To prepare myself, I eat salads loaded with a variety of vegetables, drink herbal teas full of herbs and hydrate with plenty of water. No meat, no cheese, no pasta… you get the idea.

After a juice cleanse I slowly ease my body back into normal eating. I eat lots of raw vegetables to start with and then slowly work my way into fruits, fish, quinoa, etc. I usually try to stay away from meat for a few more days because that’s how I roll.
