Whether you’re thinking of an intimate ceremony in the sand or a full-on beach bash, consider these nautical wedding decorations. From themed invitations to beach decor and favors, there are so many ways to incorporate sailing motifs and sailor elements in the most beautiful way. Get inspired by some of our favorite ideas below.

Inform your guests about the theme of the celebration by adding a custom logo or motif to your stationery, such as a piece of rope tied in a sailor’s knot, an anchor, a rudder (ship’s helm) or a lighthouse. If your wedding involves travel, consider adding some local specific information, such as transportation and hotel suggestions, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
A low bohemian dress is a great option to keep things light and airy. If a ball gown is what you’re looking for, choose an A-line silhouette that makes the overall look a little more casual. For the groom, a short-sleeved button-down is casual yet stylish when paired with neutral dress pants.
If you think guests will be walking around in high heels or getting too much sand in their formal shoes, offer the option of flip flops on the beach.
Once you’ve added a sweet nautical motif to your stationery, incorporate it into other stationery on your wedding day. The ceremony programs, the escort cards and the menu cards are all possibilities for personalizing the decor.

You don’t want decor to distract from the beautiful waterfront views, so think about what you can add to complement the scenery. A beachy arch, for example, adds some charm and gives a sense of space to an outdoor area. Frame your vows with a bow made of linen fabrics and shells.
There aren’t many decorations that can rival Mother Nature’s beautiful scenery, so roll with the surroundings and let them take center stage – opt for a color palette that complements the blue water, sandy shore and natural grass. If you have an outdoor venue, it’s always a good idea to have a plan B in case the weather doesn’t cooperate. Ask your planner about tent options or indoor spaces in the area.
Throw a fishing net over a fence or some poles to create a unique display for escort cards. And with all that strong wind on the water, it’s also one of the most stable options.
Dress up your table with unique items such as sea glass, driftwood, seashells or starfish. For the central pieces try to keep them empty
