Amber and Chris’ September wedding at Chihuly Gardens and Glass was a colorful and festive affair for this super-sweet couple. Coordinated by the talented Rebecca at New Creations Weddings, the wedding played with color, moving from a soft pastel peach and buttery yellow palette to a deeper, more dramatic blue and burnt orange palette on the day ceremony.
Amber and Chris’ ceremony took place in the Glass House under a large orange and yellow glass ceiling installation by Chihuly. A floral arch draped with dahlias, roses, stocks and eucalyptus surrounded the deacon and the couple. Amber’s bouquet consisted of large frilly lisianthus, apricot garden roses, buttery yellow stock and sweet peach dahlias. Bridesmaids’ bouquets feature a slightly brighter color palette of peaches, apricots and oranges.
As the night deepened, deep colors of navy blue and burnt orange greeted the reception. Stunning navy blue velvet couches and table linens add richness. Copper charger plates were topped with navy blue napkins and a burnt orange dahlia for each guest. Tall floral arrangements in crystal vases, filled with burgundy smokebush, orange and burgundy dahlias, peach stock and orange and coral roses. Copper, rose gold and dark gold votive candles add their sparkle. Bright and fresh, the navy blue and peach wedding color palette is perfect for the couple’s July affair. When Laura was young, her grandmother called her “Pixinina” — the Italian word pronounced “peach-a-nina.” The name stuck with Laura, as well as that vague relationship. When planning her big day, the bride wanted to pay tribute to her late grandmother by incorporating special color into the details. Pairing it with a classic shade of blue and using blush pink, ivory and gold as accents, the couple created an atmosphere.

. As a way to welcome their many out-of-town guests to Pittsburgh, Laura and Tommy chose the Heinz History Center as their reception venue. There, she complemented the color scheme for the decor with a flower arrangement of white hydrangeas and peach spray roses with pops of navy blue napkins on crisp white linen. A light and strange touch came
Hand-painted wooden signs, fresh green chair swags and natural garlands of branches, color-coordinated flowers and satin ribbons
. No detail was left out as this girly yet contemporary color scheme came to life. When you see these photos from Leann Marie, Wedding Photographer, you’ll think it’s just peachy. (I can’t resist a good pillow.)

Julia & Matt’s Romantic Blue Sky Ranch Wedding — Michelle Leo Events
In the fall of 2013, Tommy and I met as students at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. I started my first day as an intramural sports graduate assistant, while Tommy started his first day as an intramural officer. Later I found out through his friends that he was looking at me! Tommy left his official job at the end of the fall semester; When the spring semester rolled around, Tommy decided to contact me to get information about upcoming sports. Once the conversation started, dates followed – and we’ve been inseparable ever since! We were together for two years when he asked and then engaged for 1.5 years while planning!
Tommy is someone who always tries to surprise me, but he’s not good at keeping secrets. So when the day comes for him to propose, I’m sure when and where it will happen. Tommy said last week that he had to meet a client near Santa Monica and I should go with him because the meeting wouldn’t be long and then we could go on a date that night. Friday came and we were on our way. Tommy gets a call from work that his client canceled at the last minute. When we were halfway through, his work allowed him to take the rest of the day off. We stopped at the beach and Tommy suggested we go to the pier to watch the sunset. As we walked, Tommy said to me, “You know Laura, I want to spend the rest of my life with you…” In front of me, four people asked, “Will you marry me?” (I found out they were my friends who flew in for this!) Behind Tommy, there were street performers singing Bruno Mars’ “Marry You” and a photographer capturing every moment. Tommy got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and asked, “Will you marry me?” – and I said “Yes!” I was scared and, to be honest, very surprised! I had no idea what he had up his sleeve and couldn’t believe all the details he had planned for this exact moment.
When I started planning, the Heinz History Center was my first choice for our reception. I love how it is
