We start with a simple large glass ball. Get it for $20-$30 off with a coupon at Michael’s. A large cylindrical, round or square vase will also work well.

Next, artificial snow! It’s the equivalent of a winter glow, so we’re keeping it in the kit! Keep an eye out for this sale and stock up!
For this project we took 3 strings of pure white battery lights to enhance the icy feel of the project. If you have this type of thing, a warm white will also work well.
Here is our collection of fun bottle brush Christmas trees. We bought them in bulk online and saw them at hobby and craft stores. We love the different sizes and colors.
Add snow and push the light wires into the fake snow bank. Don’t push too hard, let the light line bend and move organically. This is a 5 minute project.

Add trees. Items such as ornaments, little Santas and elves, sleighs or other Christmas and winter themed decorations would be great choices.
We love that one of the trees is taller than the container, so think outside the box when choosing decor.
Adjust and adjust. Add more snow if needed. Necessary means what your eyes tell you. There is no right or wrong here.
This 1950s coffee table is a nice landing spot and the lights are on when we visit friends.
