What screams more about winter than snowflakes? Christmas is behind us, but snowflakes can be used all winter long. I hung my giant snowflakes over our front door and decorated our front porch in snowflake style!

Earlier, I showed you how to make a DIY snowflake that can be used in a smaller size for a wreath, but also in a larger size for decoration! You can check both of these posts for all the dimensions and cutting angles to create two different DIY wooden snowflakes.
Now I want to share THREE different wishes for creating wreaths from wooden snowflakes with my own hands. Let me know which one is YOUR favorite!
The first is a very soft and whimsical snowflake wreath. I used looped yarn and wrapped it around the wreath shape and then attached a snowflake in the middle.
The second wreath is just as simple. You can buy round wooden forms for a beaded wreath in Hobby Lobby! Then I just place the snowflake in the middle. I hung it on a fishing line so that it seemed to be suspended in the center of the wreath. Then I tied the ribbon on top. Seriously easy!

The third idea is to use a wreath of eucalyptus and place a snowflake in the middle. I’m not sure which one is my favorite. What do you think? Whichever wreath you prefer, all three are very easy to make. Just follow the instructions in the DIY Wooden Snowflake tutorial and then choose how you want to depict your snowflake. You can always just stand it on its own on a mantelpiece or shelf, or just hang a snowflake right on your front door without a wreath! Simplicity!

I see so many bare doors all over the city right now! It’s still too early for vibrant Easter pastels, and Christmas is (finally!) over. So here are my favorite January wreaths, perfect winter wreaths to hang until the snow melts!
Good options for winter wreaths are wreaths in white / brown / green / blue. They are usually more rustic with natural elements, snow blue or ice blue. Some good evergreen options are eucalyptus, juniper, evergreens, bay, and magnolia. You can use fresh or artificial!
Not many flowers bloom in winter, but white artificial flowers can look lovely in winter. Maybe white hydrangeas, magnolias, roses or peonies, although they might look a bit bridal. There are always white Christmas flowers like the poinsettia. I love my white poinsettias!

Pine cones are perfect for January wreaths! These shiny pine cones with buffalo check flannel bow are very pretty.
