Is It Appropriate To Wear A White Cardigan To A Wedding
Is It Appropriate To Wear A White Cardigan To A Wedding – Light pink or red has become my favorite color for spring! (Or a whole year. Who are we kidding?) I never thought I’d say that because by the time I finally blushed a year or two ago (I can’t keep track of it now!), I was in very bold colors and not I don’t think that I could make the softer ones. And even though I’m looking forward to bold colors again this spring, that doesn’t mean I have to go without blush!
A few weeks ago I showed off this blush cardigan on Facebook (HERE) and since I love it so much, I thought I’d do a little remix with it. It’s really soft and on sale! Don’t be fooled – it says ‘fleece’ in the name, but it’s quite thin, yet nice and light and definitely spring-friendly. It sold out about a week after I posted it on Facebook, it came back in stock over the weekend and is now available in multiple sizes, but some are still available HERE . It comes in 5 colors if the lighter pink isn’t your thing. If you’re looking for a different pink/red color or this one is sold out in your size, see the bottom of this post for more pink cardigan options.

CARDIGAN SIZE: I’m 5’6″ and usually a 6 or S/M and here I’m an XS and it’s still roomy! And I say that at 33 weeks pregnant with the extra pregnancy pounds I’m also carrying. Well this cardigan is definitely one size smaller! Maybe even two sizes.

HEADS UP: I’ve worn this countless times and it’s a little blurry. No fluff or anything, just a blur.
For this casual everyday look, I used a super light combination of white + gray + blush. White and gray are neutrals, which makes this combination so easy. I’ll do it another time with white jeans, a teal top and a gray cardigan HERE. If you need a place to start on how to wear blush, try using a little gray and a little white and you’ll probably be good!
Prints with Pink // Business Casual Outfit (or casually paired with olive green jeans) I often say that an easy way to work with color is to start with a printed piece – top, dress or skirt, etc. – and pull the colors out of the print to integrate with the rest of the outfit. This top has pink flowers with green leaves, so the red sweater slightly reflected the pink color of the top and the olive green pants were easy to pair. I kept the rest of the outfit neutral with nude panties, a gold necklace and a gray bag.
By the way, I LOVE Blush and Olive together! Olive is a pseudo-neutral, which means it goes with almost anything, but sometimes it looks a lot more interesting than a standard neutral. Another example of me wearing Blush + Olive is HERE.

These pants are also a maternity version of Old Navy’s iconic business casual pixie pants. I haven’t tried the non-maternity version yet, but since the maternity version is so comfortable, I’d love to try the regular ones now! I had to go down to a size 4 in my maternity pants as they stretch out a bit after a few hours. In my normal size 6 they would be loose when stretched, but in a size 4 they are fine when stretched. You can find the non-pregnant version HERE.

Bookending // Dressy Casual Next comes an outfit with the same top half as the previous outfit. This elegant casual look is sprinkled with blush. Bookmarking is another easy way to incorporate color into an outfit, using the same color somewhere on the top half and somewhere on the bottom half. The top half can be a sweater, necklace, earrings, or belt, and the bottom half can be shoes, leggings, or pants. I wear a blush cardigan on the top half and a lace up blush on the bottom half.
BTW about the white jeans. I get a lot of questions about how to keep white jeans white. I wrote a post about it HERE some time ago! But it needs an update because Old Navy has since come out with a clean white jean that is said to repel even red wine. I haven’t had the guts to test it to a red wine level, but I know the water will fizz off of them, so it seems like they have some sort of repellency on them. Check them out and read their product description HERE.

Here is another example of a bookend, but there is no pink or red color anywhere other than bookends. I love how the red makes all the black pop!
I again took the same top half as in the previous outfit and changed the black jeans to leggings and the tank top to sneakers for an athleisure look. An oversized cardigan like this is great for sports and a spring weekend must-have for me, especially with those white sneakers! ?
