They started their day at Ace, and followed their first appearance around the city to several photo spots for beautiful photos with Gerber Scarpelli Photography. Jen met Katherine and Rocio for coffee last year – she was so excited because the couple was referred to us by an industry partner. Meeting couples this way is always great because the person who referred them knows I will be a good fit. In this case that was absolutely true! From the start, there was a sense of familiarity and comfort – it didn’t hurt Rocio and Katherine, and there’s nothing Jen appreciates more than a couple with a sense of humor. (Not to mention that Rocio is just as into SoulCycle as Jen!) When they mentioned during the meeting that they were going to have a group of runners, Jen asked them all to hire her! When it came to their wedding day, Rocio and Katherine felt like long time friends, it was an honor to be with them to celebrate their love.

I was a corporate event planner for about 10 years in Chicago, and an advertising coordinator for several years before that. Therefore, I have a very high bar when it comes to planning and coordinating events, and I’m very nervous about giving the biggest event of my life to a stranger. Jen became an instant friend, and her design and execution blew my confidence out of the water. When the day came I didn’t have to worry about anything! … Jen was always patient, supportive, and willing to answer questions three or four times when needed.
