Driftwood Wedding Centerpieces – In my recent post about renting driftwood centerpieces, I mentioned that I had prepared a large number of unique items for the wedding of Alexis’ sister (my son-in-law and the designer of my new website). Lauren & Marshall were married at the Oyster Bay Yacht Club on Amelia Island, just north of Jacksonville. Lauren of course knew my furniture, but she wanted to use a unique tree centerpiece concept for her wedding. I spent the summer collecting pieces of various shapes and sizes, sandblasted them, and then exposed them to the sun until they were all a uniform silver gray. We loaded up in the back of my van and when we got to Amelia Island, Terri had the wedding coordinator pick out the pieces to use (I think I brought enough for 2 for the wedding). First we used a few pieces for a test dinner.
But the entire driftwood was placed on the tables and a few other places at the wedding reception at the beautiful Oyster Bay Yacht Club.

A beautiful Driftwood Arbor designed and handcrafted by me from over 30 hand-stacked driftwood collected from the shores of pristine North Idaho lakes. Driftwood Arbor is independent. The wood comes apart for transport in 5 sections, two sides, a top and two support posts by removing 4 5/16″ bolts with wing nuts and 4 wood screws*. The sides are pre-installed with two wooden posts holding the sides together using 5/16″ bolts with wing nuts. Each pole has a wooden stick attached to each end, which acts as a support when attached to either side. The cover part rests on the tree trunk and can be fixed with wood screws or not. The tree comes with easy-to-follow illustrated instructions. The height of the tree is 7 feet and the wide opening is 6 feet. The wood can be used for weddings and then moved to the garden or garden, or it can be packaged and resold. The tree is well suited for a wedding planner who needs a versatile and mobile tree that can be transported from place to place.
The tree is made especially for you. The trees in the picture are for demonstration purposes and are not the exact trees you will receive.

All driftwood was handpicked from North Idaho lakes. Our driftwood is not chemically treated in any way. It was washed with clean water and air dried.
*For transport purposes, the axle is disassembled into approximately 11 parts, which require 14 wood screws and 4 5/16 bolts with wing nuts (included) to assemble. Most trees fit in a 90″ x 20″ x 15″ box and weigh 85-105 lbs. I ship via Fedex Ground or UPS Ground. Delivery time is 5 business days Eastern Time Zone, 4-5 business days Central Time 3-4 business days Mountain Time Zone and 2-3 weekdays in the Pacific Time Zone.
