With right sides together, fold the back piece in half along the top edge. Using corner alignment, sew the raw edge and seam allowance ½” from top to bottom.
Create a suitable depth inside the seat by making a triangle in the upper corner as shown in the picture and sewing. The width makes the seam 1 inch long.
Turn the sewn piece inside out and place it on the back of the seat to see if it fits.
If all goes well, move on, but if it looks too big, too small, or too short, adjust the cover pattern and repeat.

Then sew the seat piece to the front of the seat back with the right side closed. Sew ½”. Remember to center the seat (and fit the notch).
Place the slide cover over the seat to test the fit again before continuing to sew the skirt. If the shape is good, continue sewing, but if the seat looks too big, too small, or may be out of order, correct the pattern and repeat the pattern and try again.
