Jasna Polana
Jasna Polana – Caroline and Tom have a love story that is so true to my heart. Caroline is from New Jersey and Tom from the UK. They met while he was abroad, fell in love and Caroline moved to London. If you know me at all, you know I’m obsessed with international love stories (maybe that’s why I married an Aussie) and there’s nothing more powerful than someone letting go of everything they know it. and move around the world for love. I love that embracing new cultures really opens up the world and makes travel and adventure so much easier. Plus, bringing fun Americans and Brits together makes for a great epic wedding!
Jasna Polana was the perfect setting for Carlin and Tom’s wedding – it’s elegant with an old world charm that makes you feel like you’re in the French countryside (even though you’re in one of the prettiest places in New Jersey, outside of Princeton). Caroline looked stunningly classic in a Le Spose di Giobow tie dress and gorgeous floral Aquazzura shoes. Fashion ruled the day, with most women wearing classic British headwear (like the royals’ favourites!). After a tearful ceremony on the lawn, guests danced the night away, but not before watching Caroline and Tom’s epic first dance in a revolving elevator! The highlight for me was taking a few photos of the couple celebrating their first night, with the elegant facade of Jasna Polana as the perfect romantic backdrop.

Apart from all the elegance, what made the day special was Caroline’s beaming smile and the couple’s absolute joy at getting married! Congratulations guys! The Jasna Polana mansion was designed by Wallace K. Harrison in the neoclassical style. It is U-shaped with a main building and two wings. The courtyard is enclosed and can be passed through a magnificent gateway. The mansion was built in the 1970s at a cost of around $30 million.
Barbara Piasecka Johnson was an art historian born in Poland and her collections of antique furniture and paintings filled the house. After her husband’s death in 1983, she spent more time in Europe and had to develop a new estate plan.
Gary Player designed TPC Jasna Polana two years later, transforming the property’s main building into a club and restaurant, and using some of the property’s other buildings as dormitories.
The championship golf course is a member of the Tournament Players Club network managed by the PGA Tour. Between 2000 and 2002, The Instinet Classic was held on the Champions Tour.
