The last image on the album closes the book with a picture of Carrie at the wedding and her mother, who closes the book after saying goodbye to her daughter leaving the reception with Mike. Carrie and her mother share a meaningful embrace before Carol begins the rest of her life with her daughter with the man of her dreams.

We wrote this song called “Undo It” in one day. We were in Los Angeles at the Sunset Marquis Hotel… I got this call from Gary’s management, and they said, “Hey, do you want to come out to LA and write with Gary?” And I said, “Well, yeah, I’d write with Kerry in Dothan, Ala., if I could!” [

] She was already booked to write with Kara and Marty; I don’t know why they invited me, maybe because me and Gary had written together before so she felt comfortable with it or something.
We went there and Cara came up with the idea of ”Undo It” on the first day. We wrote it and everyone said, “We have time, let’s do another one.” We realized we wrote this cool, swinging, up-tempo, shift gears. So Marty and I started playing that slow music. Kara and Gary seemed to be into it. Gary came up with that first line,
This was before she was engaged, obviously, but she was in a relationship. We know where it comes from. “Oh, are you and Mike [Fisher] going to get married?” Nobody said that. We went with it and thought it would be a good idea to write it down.
It’s also very special for Kara because she lost her mother; You could say they were very close. You can see Kara and Gary talking about their mothers. For me, I came from a place where I wasn’t engaged to [my wife] Beth yet, but I was like, “I hope she feels this way about me!” [

It was very good co-writing. It doesn’t feel forced or anything. I love that we wrote a song like “Undo It” and then went into something like “Mom’s Song.” That’s the thing about songwriting: what you want to do, you do.
Beth’s mom thinks it’s the best song I’ve ever written because her daughter married me when she became a mom. I played it for Beth’s mom in the car and she was in tears. It was cold.
