Mint And Coral Wedding Reception
Mint And Coral Wedding Reception – Michelle and John’s coral, mint and rose gold wedding was a lively and colorful garden party. Rose gold geometric wedding table decorations, a rose gold octagon ceremony arch and seating tables with greenery rings complemented their day. And love. All the love!
It also didn’t hurt that Michelle is a wedding florist herself, so the beautiful flowers made this wedding even more of a dream! Photographer Caitlin Gilbert Photography spent the day with the couple and captured these beautiful wedding images.
Mint And Coral Wedding Reception
“We wanted our wedding to have a summery feel and tone—lively and light, yet formal,” shares Michelle. “Our main color palette was green, white and rose gold. However, we chose the colors of the flowers to match the bridesmaid dresses, adding orange and coral to the mix. We did many things ourselves, such as geometric backgrounds, programs, table numbers, concessions and seating charts.
Wedding Reception At The Mint Museum Uptown — Amanda Moss Photography Charlotte Wedding Photographer
Love Story: We met freshman year of high school through a mutual friend, but eventually lost touch with each other. But 6 years later we met again through another mutual friend and it all started from there! We dated for 5 months at the Lantern Festival before getting engaged and got married 9 months later!
I am a wedding florist and own my own business, so flowers were a huge part of realizing my vision. My color inspiration was the floral bridesmaids dresses. I wanted a summer atmosphere with lots of greenery and warm tones. I used Aedroses, Tulips and Ranunculus to name a few, plus a variety of herbs. With the help of friends and family, we designed all the flowers of the day ourselves. This included bouquets in our coral, mint and rose gold wedding place settings.
My wedding dress was an A-line dress with a sweetheart neckline and little details at the waist, and I had my hair in a low messy bun. Even though we were having an outdoor wedding, we didn’t want to lose the formality that a wedding usually achieves. I wanted to keep a simple and classic look in terms of makeup, hair and dress.
My bridesmaids dresses didn’t match. We went with two girls in dark green chiffon dresses and the other two in chiffon floral dresses. All the dresses were different, so each bridesmaid felt comfortable throughout the day and could choose what they liked.

John wore light gray trousers, a white shirt with a gray tie, brown suspenders and brown shoes. Groomsmen wore the same, except for gray bow ties.
We wanted to keep the decor for our wedding ceremony simple as the grounds were already so beautiful. We added some flowers to the entrance of the hall and greenery attached to the rows of chairs and the unity candle on the table.
John made the rose gold geometric ceremony backdrop the theme of our coral, mint and rose gold wedding and it was simple enough that guests could still have a fountain in the background!
He didn’t look at us the first time, so we saw each other for the first time that day when I walked down the street. John’s face was so cute and the photos of that moment always melt my heart!

We wanted the ceremony to be short and sweet and centered on the theme of serving one another. We took the traditional vows, lit the unity candle and washed each other’s feet as a sign of service.
After the wedding ceremony, we created a space where guests can enjoy cocktail hours by the pool. Our coral, mint and rose gold wedding reception was held under a tent on the other side of the property.
Our wedding centerpieces including tall greenery, low flower centerpieces and candle centerpieces. They each had rose gold glitter and rose gold votives.
Our bridal party sat at King Arthur’s Table so that all the groomsmen/groomsmen could sit with them. In the center was a green garland, rose gold decoration and candles.

John and I shared a small cake and the guests had cupcakes for dessert. We bought giant rose gold balloons that said LOVE and placed them behind the dessert table. Around 7:00 that evening it started to rain! But under the tent we were all dry and dancing our hearts out. After a few hours of partying – we left with a bright exit!
