When they first approached us about working with us on a photo shoot, we were excited to work with them. We knew right away that Stones River Country Club would be the perfect venue for a modern and traditional style wedding. The Country Club is one of our favorite places in Murfreesboro, although we are a little biased since we got married on a private golf course in Florida.
Penny, the amazingly awesome coordinator at Stones River, paired us up with Amy from Amy & I Designs, who were a perfect couple! The first time we met Amy, all the styling and planning came to fruition. We wanted to design a wedding that was vibrant and bold. We loved the contrast of navy blue and rose gold – which you can see reflected in our new branding – that’s how much we love it! Amy is absolutely brilliant at taking a small idea and creating a whole look with it. Not only is she very talented in planning, but she also has an amazing gift for floral design, as you can see in this photo shoot.

With all the intricate details we had planned, we knew we needed a second set of eyes to help photograph everything. Rebecca was also enthusiastic about the designs we were creating and was so helpful in connecting us with 2 other amazing Nashville vendors – Fabulous Frocks & Sweetability Bakery. The artistry of the cake created was beautiful, it was inspired by the stationary suite to design a wedding cake based on it. How great is the idea to make your wedding cake truly unique?!

Fabulous Frocks of Nashville is a well-known boutique that specializes in unique and sophisticated dresses. We chose a youthful and playful dress with an intricate floral lace detail on the back. The way the dress was complimented with a modern navy blue suit courtesy of locally owned D&K Menswear was exactly what we envisioned. One of the things that is really cool about this formal men’s company is the unique contemporary tuxedos they offer among the traditional options.

Together, they designed and styled the table settings for the photo shoot to create a contemporary look using modern geometric shapes and metallic accents throughout. Primp This was a lifesaver and filled up in short order for makeup. He’s been a blessing because he’s insanely talented and we’ve had the pleasure of working with him several times over the past few months. She even does Mahlias hair and makeup! We were so excited to have Juliana Stafford team up with us on this hair styling project. The intricate half up and down hairstyle was delicately paired with the delicate dress and bold floral crown created by Amy.
