Pinterest Bridal Shower Food – Courtney’s 2nd bridal shower was at our house today by her best friend and Maid of Honor Kindra. Last Saturday she had another shower with all the ladies around us and today it was for all her friends, so “Old Lady” and “Young Lady”! The best part about the shower was that I got to do all the food! So this will be the first of several posts featuring all things shower food. The picture above is the whole meal. I will show what I made here in this post and then I will post recipes for new things. (I have the banner hanging over my desk, you can’t really see it but “Love is in the Air”. Courtney asked me last night what I would do without my Cricut and Pinterest and I said I would be lost and not very creative!)
I got this idea from Pinterest of course! Individual vegetable cups with ranch. I used 2 spears of carrots, celery and small cucumbers with a store bought ranch in the bottom of the cup. Great idea for a blog called “A Little Love”.

And another great Pinterest idea, Fruit Kabobs! What a cute and easy way to serve fruit! This idea is taken from a blog called “Nush Loves”. I used pineapple, strawberries, blackberries, oranges, red and green grapes.

And for the drink, this “fluffy punch” I found on Pinterest from a blog called “Enchantresses 3”. There were no specific instructions for the punch, they said it was cranberry juice, 7-up, raspberry syrup, and frozen raspberries, so I mixed everything together until it looked good. Robinson recently incorporated lyrics from a song he wrote for the groom into a cake, and also suggested that desserts highlight the countries or states the couple met or traveled to together. Another option: highlight cultural desserts that represent the bride’s family heritage.
“Bridal showers are between breakfast and lunch and don’t have to be a full meal,” says Robinson. “However, whenever alcohol is involved, it’s important to offer some tasty options, even if it’s just a small dog dish or a selection of fruit and nuts.” It will help quench thirst, fight off sweet tooth cravings, and keep guests alert on the way home. “It’s nice, but it doesn’t necessarily make sense,” says Able. “There’s a certain way it’s cut, and there’s not always a trained catering staff for these events, so it’s more trouble than it’s worth.” His commitment? Showcase cake, decorated to look authentic and anchored to the dessert bar, but not actually cut. Extra bonus: The bride can keep it as a gift.
