Easy Easter Tables Decorating Ideas
It all started, as it often happens, with flowers. So Renae and I were – at the Portland Flower Market at 5:30 in the morning! We decided to get flowers for the citrus landscape I mentioned above. But when we were there, we saw these beautiful royal colored flowers, we couldn’t resist.
I was so excited about these colors because the wisteria was blooming on her porch! Purple is the perfect purple and the perfect backdrop for a purple outdoor table setting! Renae provided the white vases and did most of the flower arrangements.
Sometimes it’s nice to have a picnic on the grass, camping or some other type of outdoor dining. But if you have a formal table and chairs, it’s wonderful to create an outdoor table setting that matches the indoor one. Just outside in the fresh air!
That’s what we do here at Rena’s beautiful shade, already a beautiful table, ready to go.
Blue And White Table Decor
If you don’t have a permanent food spot in your backyard, fear not! It’s fun to find a place that can accommodate a table and chairs. We don’t have one, but whenever I want to eat outside, my husband helps me move the table and chairs to the patio.
You can also find a different nice place to set the outdoor table. For example, I’ll bring a portable table and chair to the floor for a nice pizza! It’s really fun! But back to our purple table!
We used the same location settings as our previous table, but removed the loops. These golden colors are very elegant. Rena and I have gold and silver dishes, so we add them around the table. We combined our tables and glasses.
Here is one of the location settings that will close. Renae placed a small fern on each table to carry the leaves of our beautiful flowers.
Reception Table Decor
When the concept of Royal comes to mind, it looks like anything a queen could use! Aren’t these candlesticks elegant? They are the perfect touch to complete this beautiful table setting.

Guess where these towels are from? IKEA! I bought it a few years ago – it’s perfect! The napkin rings are by Kim Seibert, one of my favorite luxury table designers. Bright and bold, with a clear acrylic base, it’s a fresh touch on my desk.
Trader Joe’s is my trusted source for flowers – I walked in and found these potted beauties right at the entrance. It couldn’t have been more perfect for my purple and white table decoration theme. And there are no conditions to do it!
We are looking forward to it, I know our moms are waiting and our kids are excited to see them. I love how the kids talk about what they’re doing in school and sports, and it’s nice to listen to the elders when they give advice.

My dining room has seen many Sunday dinners – a tradition I hope will continue for a long time to come!
Sometimes I make meals ahead of time, sometimes they’re done an hour early, sometimes they’re delivered! Tonight I decided to take the fruits of late summer tomatoes and make a batch of cold gazpacho. Julia Moskin’s recipe is a creamy version of gazpacho – I don’t care for salsa-type gazpacho, and this one suits me. Grilled baguette slices topped with mozzarella and prosciutto and grilled shrimp with gazpacho.
If you’re lucky enough to have grandmas around, I encourage you to start your own overnight cooking routine. No matter what night you choose, what food you prepare, what table decoration you use, I’m sure it will always remain in our memory. These are memories that our children will carry with them forever, and I hope they will do the same for us.
