We think that as long as the seating chart serves its purpose, you can customize it however you want.

One idea we’re in love with is this ‘flower of the wall’ themed seating chart. He includes flowers in your seating by arranging dried flowers which are then placed in picture frames with the guest’s names and hung on the wall.
How To Create A Beautiful Wedding Seating Chart
Another great idea to use for your seating cart is to make something that can do double duty. For example, it can be a drink + seat card or a favor + seat card.
We are all for the idea of including the seating chart with welcome drinks! Not only is it super cute and trendy, but it doubles as a refreshing drink and in this case, a tropical themed seating chart!
The great advantage of this job is that we get the opportunity to work with couples from all different backgrounds. We want to help them find ways to incorporate their cultures into their celebrations. Just because it’s a tradition, doesn’t mean you can’t be creative and come up with a totally new and trendy way to do it!
One idea we love is using paper cranes as a seating screen. It still pays homage to the tradition of folding faucets, but in a fun and functional way!

Since I’ve been married for a few years now, I rarely think about doing a “DIY Wedding” type project. But for my latest installment on the Charlotte Region ReStore blog, I decided to make an exception! After finding another simple cork table at one of the ReStores, I was inspired to create a rustic wedding seating chart for the bride on a budget.
I can’t seem to help myself when I find these “blah” corkboards on my way out. They are SO helpful, but the clarity is outstanding. So, it’s no surprise that I really enjoy fixing them;

So, I don’t mind doing another makeover just another corkboard! But I imagine that many brides these days are even more budget conscious than usual. I’d say it’s as good a time as ever for cheap wedding projects, that’s for sure…

Anyway, onto this cork board project. Well, upon further inspection, the cork itself was somewhat uneven in color. As if he had been holding the same pieces of paper for years hanging in direct sunlight.
Or something like that. I honestly don’t know how else to explain the fair discoloration on the cork. So, I first decided to paint the entire cork surface, like I did with this DIY cork board project…
But, in the end, I chose not to – simply because I planned to cover it with place cards! But it’s always nice to know how easy it is to paint cork in situations like this.

Either way, this rustic wedding place card or place card holder is a really easy DIY project! And he’s very budget conscious too; I think any bride (and/or groom) can appreciate them.
