Available in Pronovias stores and select boutiques worldwide since September, the collection offers designs in EU sizes 32-60, with prices ranging from $1,600 to $4,000, a far cry from the $12,000 Vera Wang brands can reach dresses.

Flowing skirts, lace, intricately detailed fabrics, corsetry and micro-pleats are some of the trends that dominate the collection, which includes a wide range of silhouettes, from columns to floaty A-line dresses and mermaid gowns.

According to the company in a statement, the line’s range combines artisan finishes and premium fabrics with painted options made from environmentally friendly fabrics and details. The collection is complemented by accessories including sashes, tiaras, floral decorations and feathered headdresses that, in the words of the brand, “add a sense of fun and fantasy.”
“Vera Wang is freedom, experimentation, innovation and ingenuity, all of which is reflected in both the details and the construction. This collaboration with the Pronovias Group has allowed me to push the boundaries of my creativity and create a global brand with affordable prices that are accessible to all brides,” – explained the American designer.
“We worked very hard with Vera Wang and her team to create a collection that reflects the iconic and distinctive nature of her designs. This is another step forward in strengthening the brand,” added Pronovias CEO Amandine Ohayon.
The launch is part of a 10-year licensing deal between the BC Partners-owned bridal group and Vera Wang. Through the partnership, the Spanish company hopes to gain a foothold in markets such as the US and China, which are key players in the global wedding fashion industry. As for the Vera Wang brand, it will be able to expand and reach its audience thanks to Pronovias’ global distribution network.

The release comes a few weeks after the launch of Carlo Pignatelli’s first collection for Pronovias, the Barcelona-based company’s foray into the menswear market. The collaboration with Vera Wang is the latest tie-up with the American brand for the group, which has previously signed collaborations with Marchesa and Zac Posen. The first one was published in March and the last one in 2020. September.
Pronovias since 2017 is owned by BC Partners and manages the brands Pronovias, St Patrick, White One, Nicole, Vera Wang Bride and Lady Bird. The company operates in 105 countries, with more than 4,000 sales points and 44 stores in the world’s major capitals.
