The seating charts she saves on Pinterest come in many different styles, but this one is her favorite.

I don’t see traditional boards working in ordinary stores because they are full of popular features of rural farmhouses.

I decided to check out the Thrift Store and Walmart, especially since I need 12 layers and I hope the bag will be good.

They were great…I didn’t love them, but I thought I would paint anyway…so I bought some.

I knew I didn’t like dollar store boards mixed in with other boards.

Can you tell who it is from the dollar store? Do you see the little frames on the top and bottom lines?

Yes, these are dollar store boards and not very strong (hard word I can describe a frame…haha).

*Tip – use the notes below to indicate where each layer is in the layout and what color to paint each layer. I helped organize everything.

The easiest way to make the back support is to attach the whole frame to a flat piece.

This beautiful wedding table will be displayed on a large floor at the wedding, because the floors are different shapes, I wanted to see the small spaces between the floors.

Since it was a challenge to stand up and hold all the boards, I asked my husband Chris to help me.

Use pieces of wood to go through the center of each of the 12 boards to support the entire layout.

The seating positions were created in Canva, a graphic design tool website. Canva can also be used for web design and writing.

How To Create A Beautiful Wedding Seating Chart

After creating the table seating assignments in Canva, I printed them on white card stock and placed them on each floor.

Now, in the days before I got married, you could use your cell phone and social media instead of the dash cams on every table.

First, keep in mind that these frames are small, and when I tried to repeat them, these little dusts kept getting stuck between the glass and the printed card stock.

After all the work we put into this seating chart, I don’t want a shard of glass in the back of my car.

Once the table cards were all in place for the seat, I started gluing the individual 5×7 boards to the back support that Chris made.

I decided to use Gorilla Glue for this project because I wanted to make sure each of these boards would hold together and not fall apart!!

Then place a heavy book on top of the boards to give the glue time to set and dry.

Here is a view of the back of the project with all the boards attached to the wooden support.

Hi Abby – The frame is all nailed…short pieces of wood stacked on top of longer pieces to create a solid wood frame to attach the 5×7 photo frames to. Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Ann – Thank you so much for the wedding list information. We used leftover lumber from a previous project to make our frame to fit behind the 5×7 boards. I recommend laying out all of your photo frames and measuring the overall size (length and width) that you want your back frame to be. Frame sizes vary, so depending on the thickness of your individual frames, what worked for our seating chart may not work for you. Another easier option is to cut a piece of plywood smaller than all of your boards and glue each to a background board. I paint the plywood to match the frame colors. Hope this helps! Beautiful! Exactly what we were looking for – we use velcro strips to attach the frame to the board so it’s easy to remove the frame and replace the picture/stick it back 🙂
