Winter Wonderland Table Decoration Ideas
Winter Wonderland Table Decoration Ideas – *This post is in partnership with Christmas Tree Shops and That! As always, all thoughts and ideas are mine. Thank you for supporting the brands I love!
The timing of this post couldn’t be more perfect. I write this as I watch the snow fall from our dining room’s big window. We were hit hard at our house this fall/winter with illness. A beautiful blizzard is the perfect time (and excuse) to stay indoors, light a fire, cook a delicious meal and put on a Christmas movie. I’m excited to partner with Christmas Tree Shops and That! to share with you a beautiful themed tablescape for your holiday gatherings this month.
Winter Wonderland Table Decoration Ideas
I love going to Christmas tree stores and stuff! to get inspired each season and pick up some new items to decorate. This trip was no different as I fell in love with all of their holiday decor while shopping, but especially their forest themed ornaments, snowflake plaques and other winter accessories. Whenever I’m setting a table for a party/dinner, I get inspired and walk around the store, so I really focus on what catches my eye. I usually love festive reds and greens, but I thought it would be cozy to add whites, golds, and other textures to my dinner table this winter.
Create The Perfect Rustic Holiday Table Setting
Creating a beautiful table starts with the theme and then the layers. I always start with a runner or tablecloth and build from there. Christmas tree stores and that! Had so many great choices for tablecloths. I choose a white and gold lace cloth, they usually always have matching napkins. From the tablecloths you want to add your charger, dinner plate, salad plate or bowl. After that, you can complete it with a name tag or a special little accent that relates to the theme. I loved scattering these little ornaments around the table like forest creatures. These snowflake salad plates are the perfect addition to my Winter Wonderland dining table. I love their shape and design.
When opting for neutral decor, always make sure to add a mix of textures and metallics. Too much white can be boring, so I love the texture the decorations add to the table, as do the metallic trees and tablecloths from Christmas Tree Shops and That!
A centerpiece should relate to your theme and create interest at the table without being too big or distracting. I bought these white metal trees at Christmas Tree Shops and that! then I mixed other glass trees and bottle trees that I already had. I had these mini sleds that I put in first and then I spread out trees of different heights and some cute little white ceramic houses in the middle. You can create the same effect with a wooden table or path. Twinkling lights woven through the centerpiece add a little extra sparkle.
The downy forest deer on the top right shelf was another Christmas tree shop and that! Find it so cute on our tube racks.

I also found this vase of greenery with silver ornaments and snow-sprinkled boxwood stems. As my table is very white and metallic, I wanted to bring some reds/greens on the shelves to give it a Christmas touch too (y).
The kids love the table decorations this year, they are so excited to eat all their meals here and play with the forest creatures. We will definitely use them as decorations too! Be sure to check out the Christmas tree stores and that! for all your holiday and Christmas decoration needs.

Living in Minnesota, I love a white Christmas and the weather usually doesn’t disappoint. There’s something so magical about the fluffy white stuff in December, although it starts to get a little old in February and that’s when I really need to get into the Hygge rhythm.
When Astrid from Picabash talked about giving her husband a winter-themed birthday, I put on my thinking cap to find the perfect theme with the silver and blue colors she planned to wear.

Using my printables and some party ideas I threw at her, Astrid designed a beautiful party to thank her husband and recognize her birthday in December.
I know exactly what it’s like to miss her birthday, mine is January 2nd and by now everyone is tired of not only Christmas but also New Year’s!
Now I also understand that Christmas gifts might take up most of the December budget, but you can still throw a beautiful party without spending a fortune.
Winter Wonderland Christmas Mantel
Below are some photos from the party designed by Astrid of Picabash, with some additional decor ideas you can implement on your own.
Mix and match these ideas to create something really special for your Let it Snow party! This winter wonderland party is sure not to disappoint.
I love all the snowflake details that Astrid used. You can pick up similar ones like this snowflake ornament set.
A large silver vinyl backdrop is used along the back wall, with a really cool balloon display. I love how Astrid cut the snowflake out of the poster to add some detail to the balloons. Note that this snowflake says “Happy Birthday”, but the downloadable set says “Happy Holidays”.
Winter Centerpiece Ideas
This set includes a total of 3 plates: 1-8×10″ plate that says “Let It Snow” and 2-4×6 plates: “Baby It’s Cold Outside” and “Eat, Drink and Be happy”.
I always like to make water easily accessible, especially when alcohol is served, and displaying some decorated water bottles is a cute way to incorporate your theme.
Aren’t those snowmelt water bottle labels fun? You may remember similar water bottle labels from my breakfast at the North Pole.
Water bottle labels are very easy to print on cardstock or full label paper and then attach to the bottle.
How To Decorate A Winter Wonderland White Christmas Tree
Note that my water bottle labels are 3 per page and 9×2 inches, so some of the special water bottle papers will not work. The reason I set up my file this way is that I prefer a slightly wider label.
Don’t forget to coordinate some fun food and drink combinations to match your theme. Set up a dessert charcuterie table with goodies, like the one Astrid set up.
If you’re planning to serve a meal, it’s so much fun to set a pretty table that you can use the same food stall cards as place cards to direct your guests to their seats. Add a special touch with party confetti from Leonetti Confetti.
Ready for the party to begin? Don’t forget to dress up (or strip down) a little and join in the festive fun, whether it’s an outfit that matches the party decor with a T (seriously!)
