I promise you don’t need much, except pine cones! Felt, markers, pompoms, glue and paint scraps are the main items. If you enjoy DIY crafts with the kids, I’m sure you have most of these materials at home!

How To Make Pine Cone Christmas Trees: 2 Ways
Sprinkle as much silver salt or aurora salt as you like in the Epsom salts. I find that a 6:1 ratio of Epsom salts to glitter powder provides the perfect shine. Mix the two lightly with a fork. You can even skip the glitter if you want a more neutral snow.
I made a fairly large batch, I used every last ounce of restraint, and I didn’t have to spray every flat surface in my apartment.
This project is much prettier than those overly scented pine cones that hit the market in the fall. You can also choose your favorite scent and personalize your pine cones with your favorite holiday essential oils.
Place the pine cones in a gallon-sized plastic bag. Mix a few drops of your favorite essential oil or a blend of several oils into a few tablespoons of a neutral carrier oil, such as grapeseed or almond oil, in a small spray bottle. Spray the pine cones in the bag. Now close the bag and shake well. This ensures that the oil is evenly distributed among the pine cones. Let the pinecones sit in the bag for about a week.
