Brides & Tailor is primarily a small business, so the entire process can be done online from A-Z. We work with brides all over the US and are not a traditional boutique where customers can shop off the rack. Once the dress is finished, it is sent directly to the bride. Final fittings with our local seamstress in Canton, Michigan can be arranged for local Michigan brides after the dress is finished.

From the beginning of the process, we make sure that we are transparent with our spouses all the way. After receiving inspiration photos or sketches of the design that the bride wants, we first make sure that the material is available and that the final result of the dress will be at least 80% similar to the final result that the bride has in mind. We only use the inspiration photos to understand the general concept that the bride is looking for. WE DO NOT COPY DESIGNER CLOTHES. We use only high quality material for all our clothes. During the process, we keep the customer updated on the process and share photos of the dress with the customer before shipping!
Brides & Tailor’s goal is to provide brides with the dream wedding dress they want in the size that fits them. The customer has the option of entering standard measures to check. However, upon confirmation, the bride will receive our detailed step-by-step measurement guide and will be asked to be measured at a location/tailor in her area. After you send us your measurements, we reproduce these on a mannequin to make sure they look reasonable. If any of the measurements seem concerned, we will contact the customer back/ask them to double check. The measurements are quite simple and the bride should go through the guided photos before visiting any seamstress to ensure they are taken correctly.
Absolutely yes! We are here to open all options for the bride who does not want to choose a traditional white wedding dress. We have several color charts available depending on the material, so we don’t publish them on the website because there are so many catalogs. Contact us if you have a specific color preference and we will make sure we have it before ordering.
That’s good! We are here to provide you with an in-house design/tailoring experience. While you still have time for the changes, we will study the changes and see if there are any additional costs associated. If it’s just a small modification, we can do it for you! Extensive changes are likely to be difficult to make, especially if they are requested closer to the final stage,

Brides & Tailor has a team of dedicated professionals and hires high fashion and bridal both local and international tailors, so we are able to provide our customers with a quick turnover without affecting the quality and techniques used in all our bride’s dresses. You don’t need to wait 9-12 months for your wedding dress to be finished, because it can be finished in 12 weeks!
Our turnaround times are 12-14 weeks on average and most of our brides order their dresses at least 8 months before the wedding. Our custom dresses go through a rigorous quality inspection process after they are finished, so it is always preferable for our brides to avoid last minute dress orders and plan to place their order in adv.
We ship our wedding dresses using Fedex Home Delivery and USPS Priority Mail for tracked and fast shipping. The dress will be carefully folded to ensure that the beads and all the work are kept protected, and it will be placed in our high quality dustproof garment bag to keep the dress clean and tidy in the thick packing box and reliable. All packages must be signed for. Couriers cannot leave packages outside on the front porch/area.
As with any custom wedding dress, some minor alterations may be necessary for the bride. If you visit the bridal salon in Michigan, have your final hair service with us, and realize that there are a few touches that need to be made to make the dress fit perfectly, we will take care of this for you. Brides who get their dresses sent usually do not need alterations for the dresses as they are custom made in their own size, so if small alterations are needed such as the removal of small centimeters, any local tailor can help with this. We do not cover the cost of changes. If the dress needs additional fabric/material for minor alterations, we will be happy to assist the bride with this.
