How To Host A Gender Reveal Party
How To Host A Gender Reveal Party – Now he. However you decide to tell your family and friends about the sex of your baby, this is a great opportunity to bring everyone together to celebrate your new birth soon. And to be honest, you should make the most of this quiet time before the sleepless nights and hectic days begin. But what if you want to throw the perfect gender reveal party and have a great time with your loved ones? I have written some thoughts here.
The first thing you need to do for your gender reveal party is to choose a suitable date. Many do this at around 20 weeks, when the ultrasound is most likely to be midway through the pregnancy. However, this is not always the case as the technician may not be able to tell the sex of your baby if they do not get the clear image they need. Pick a date for the big reveal and make sure it works for you and your partner as well as your loved ones.
How To Host A Gender Reveal Party
There are many different places you can hold a gender reveal party and these should be considered. One of the most popular locations chosen by couples is their home, and you can host the party outside (weather permitting). If it gets a little chilly, consider purchasing a cement fireplace or space heater to keep your guests warm. A cozy quiet restaurant can also be a good place.
Non Explosive Gender Reveal Ideas
The most important thing, of course, is gender identity itself. How are you going to share the news with family and friends? You may want to go for a classic balloon where you fill a black balloon with blue or pink confetti and pop it to reveal the bright color inside. Or maybe you want a gender reveal cake or a box full of blue or pink helium balloons that you pop. Think about what you would like to do here!
The perfect gender reveal party will have some beautiful decoration ideas that match the theme. Blue and pink cakes (or other products) are worth considering, and you can even make blue and pink punch. Banners with sexual slogans will add to the fun, such as “He or She?” Let’s take a look, or maybe have your own idea, if you’re a bit of a word whiz! Pink and blue fairy lights will also add the final touches to your outdoor party.
There are many ways to make your gender reveal party perfect, and if you want to make it special, there are many other ideas you can use. The most important thing, however, is that you and your loved one are together, celebrating your new arrival regardless of its gender. Have fun and don’t forget to document the day so you can show it to your child when they are a little older!
If you choose not to have one, that’s okay too. We didn’t have a party, but a quiet celebration for the two of us… well, the three of us! 🙂 Happy Monday, guys!!! Ok… just for the record, this post is not my gender reveal party because we’ve had babies!!! Laugh out loud!! This is a party that Matt and I threw at our house for my dear friend (Alina) and her husband Lee (a friend of Matt’s).
Host A Memorable Gender Reveal Party With Preserved Roses– Le Jardin Roses
Being pregnant is both a wonderful and crazy experience at the same time. You experience shock, joy, fear, excitement, panic, and everything in between. I remember finding out the sex of our baby was one of the most anticipated moments of both my pregnancies!
Even once you’ve found out the gender of the new little person you’re carrying inside of you, there are still a lot of questions that need to be answered. For example, how to set up the nursery, what to buy for the baby, how to name the baby, reveal the gender of the baby and plan a baby shower! It’s so overwhelming and exciting at the same time!
When my friend Alina broke the news of her pregnancy to me, I was so happy for her!!! She was telling me how excited she is for her baby to arrive, but also overwhelmed with so many things to plan! She told me that she would like to know the gender of her child with us! She said maybe one weekend we can come over to your house and have a cake with blue or pink filling and cut the cake and find out the gender of the baby!
She said she was going to ask my doctor, who happened to be my obstetrician and friend, to call me to tell me the gender of the baby. She said she wants me to keep my gender a secret until she comes to us! I immediately thought of using a “confetti or gender reveal powder gun” to announce the gender of the baby! I thought confetti or powder guns would be more “fun and exciting”!!!! So together we started talking more about the details of the party…
Girl? Boy? A Super Fun Baby Gender Reveal!!!
She offered to come over and help me with the party planning and all the decorations! I didn’t let her go… #1: Because she was pregnant and I didn’t want her to move things around to decorate our yard, #2: I covered all the details of the party as a “surprise”. Decided to keep in and have a “Gender Reveal Surprise” party for her and her husband!
Good question!!! Gender reveal parties are the “latest” trend in all baby showers! In fact, I don’t even remember when I was pregnant with Valentina and Alina if there were any gender reveal parties (maybe they were…and I had no idea! Hahaha)!!!
A gender reveal party is a party held during pregnancy to reveal the sex of the baby to expectant parents, family and friends. Honestly, I think finding out the gender of your baby is one of the most beautiful moments you look forward to as a parent (especially as a mom)!!!
When I was planning this gender reveal party, I did a lot of research on “when is the best time to have a gender reveal party while pregnant?” Many doctors and articles recommend doing this anytime after 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. Some couples choose to combine the two events and “announce” the gender of their baby at the baby shower, which is fine too if you enjoy doing it!
Gender Reveal Party Ideas
We decided to have a gender reveal party at our friend’s house. Matt and I invited our friends and family over to celebrate this special day for her and her baby! I’ve hosted quite a few get-togethers for friends and family at my house now… so many that I feel like I’m becoming an “expert” at hosting parties! Hahaha! Although I have planned and hosted many gatherings including Thanksgiving dinners, Christmas Eve dinners, Easter brunches, Valentine’s and Alina’s birthday parties, and more… I guess every party needs its own unique kind of planning. it occurs.
I love planning parties a few months in advance!!! I’m not talking about small gatherings (those parties don’t really need any planning… hahaha). I’m talking about the parties I love to “design” memorable scenes and decorations. For parties like this, I love planning ahead! Whether you are planning a small get-together with friends or an elaborate event, there are some key points to keep in mind as you make your plans.
1- First you have to decide when and where the party will be! Want to host a party at a restaurant, resort/hotel? Or outside, in your home, at a friend’s or family member’s home?
5- You can order most of your party supplies on Amazon (I’ll talk you through the “what to order” and “what not to order” on Amazon for your party shortly).

7- Cake or Cupcakes: This is how most couples prefer to “announce” the gender of the baby! The “surprise” color is hidden inside the cake! There are tons of beautiful cake ideas for a gender reveal party! Like here, here, or here….
8- Decide how you want to decorate your party! To make your party look chic and elegant, you can do some DIY floor decorations!
Gender Reveal Powder Cannons Vs. Gender Reveal Confetti Cannons: I cannot stress this enough… DO NOT ORDER THE “POWDER CANNONS”!!! I would never have ordered the Gender Announcement Powder Gun if I had known how awful they were! They turned most of our guests’ clothes, shoes, faces blue!!! And they made the biggest mess in the backyard too! Cleaning them isn’t easy either! Order the Gender Reveal Confetti Cannon instead! They’ll both be dirty…but dirty powder is very hard to clean!
No matter how many guests you have, I recommend ordering either “disposable tableware” or simply “renting” plates, silverware, glasses, etc. It makes the “clean up” process so much easier! Originally, I was planning on renting the dishes! However, when I looked at several rental companies
