This past Saturday, Rachel and Kyle drove from Havertown, Pennsylvania, to spend the afternoon with me during their engagement. We tried to schedule your session for the previous week, but Mother Nature decided to make it impossible with all the days of thunderstorms in Lancaster. When I saw that it was raining on the weekend of our newly chosen date, I raised my finger and prayed… hehe – and it worked!

Before I talk about this cloudy Fort Worth engagement, I have to talk about couples. Linda and Lu Khin are a special place in my heart than most people. Linda and I have known each other for over 6 years. I met her last school year at TCU and we shared many memories. She was my bride last year, we lived together and traveled countless times. When Luken came into her life, I knew she was special. I have never seen Linda dizzy like this. Luken released a lot of fun and humor to her that I love so much. They are a couple made in heaven and I can not wait to see them get married at the end of the year!
As soon as Luken asked me, I started to get excited about their engagement photos at Fort Worth. I texted Linda the next morning trying to plan something because I was so excited. Unfortunately, Luken is about to leave for the baseball season (he is in a minor league), so we have a limited time. And of course, in two weeks we had him in Fort Worth for the engagement shoot, not a single daylight, only a cloud. But it is still so. Lots of fun. And I will not trade this cloud engagement session in Fort Worth for the world.
We laugh, dance, run and capture a lot of sweet moments. Swipe down to see more of this cloudy engagement recording and how much you two love each other! Sometimes we forget how beautiful this place is. Coming from the Black Hills in South Dakota, Kayla and Luke are no strangers to the beautiful mountains. As we walked out of the parking lot inside Shenandoah National Park, they shared the similarities they saw on a walk in their hometown! It was fun to learn about the mountains near Mount Rushmore. Since we have never been ourselves, I feel like we are all showing each other something new!
As we all shifted around the fight, it was almost a pleasure to hear Kayla and Luke’s soft accents! The words Little Midwestern will come out occasionally and are fun to listen to. And as we learned more about their plans for their wedding, as well as Kayla’s graduation, we realized that the two are on an adventure next year!
