Use Base Coat As Top Coat

Use Base Coat As Top Coat – I ran out of base coat the other day and decided to use top coat. Anyway, how different could it be, I thought. Aren’t the base coat and top coat the same in the end? Just a clear nail polish? Can’t I just use a top coat as a base coat and vice versa, a base coat as a top coat?

This is what my manicure looked like after just 2 days, when I used a top coat as a base coat. And yes: the entire nail polish came off my index finger! So the answer to the question is clearly NO!!! You cannot use the top coat as a base coat!

It turns out that the top coat forms a single solid coating on the nail plate for a much more durable finish that adds shine and makes the nail more resistant to chipping. And it also helps the nail polish dry faster! However: nothing sticks to it, and apparently other nail polish just “slides” over the top coat.

The other way around can work a bit better – you can use a base coat as a top coat. The base coat prepares the nail, prepares and fills the small ridges, and also makes the nail polish stick to the nail better. A good base coat also protects the nail from damage and yellowing. If the base coat is transparent (such as Seche Vite), you can use it as a top coat, but you won’t have the advantage that the nail polish dries faster. Usually, topcoat also gives a better shine than basecoat, but if you run out of topcoat, it’s better than the other way around.

In general, it is very reasonable to use base coat and top coat as intended. ;-)Hey guys, today I’m reviewing the Pretty Bitch Clear Top Coat and Milky Base Coat Set ($10.00). Also known as the “Cock and Ball” set (Pretty Bitch polishes are known for their outrageous names), the double top and base coat promises to make your manicure last longer. The Milky Base Coat looks opaque in the glass, but when applied to the nails it looks almost transparent. This base coat has a really nice consistency and really helps balance out the ridges, allowing the nail color to apply evenly. I tried this base coat under a blue coat to see if it would prevent spotting and unfortunately it didn’t, the blue still seeped through under the base color. Regardless, I still really like this base coat as it gives a nice “canvas” to the nail color.

The transparent topcoat is a very thin, slightly runny topcoat. What I love about this topcoat is that since the formula is quite thin, it doesn’t bubble or flake, which is a problem I often experience with the thicker Sally Hansen Insta-Dri formula. However, because it’s very thin, this top coat doesn’t work very well over glitter polishes or any nail polish, as the polish really sinks in and sticks to the surface and highlights any unevenness or texture. Also, for the same reasons, this is by no means a polish for printing. I think this is a top coat that works best with solid nail colors and keeps them from chipping when you seal the edges of your nails.

Here it is, Pretty Bitch Polish Clear Top Coat and Milky Base Coat. What top coat or base coat do you use? Let me know in the comments below! And as always, thanks for reading! In short, no. Base and top coats are not necessary parts of the manicure. However, they play a very important role in a fantastic and long-lasting manicure. Let’s break them down and discuss them.

The most important role of the base coat is probably protection. Some colors (I’m looking at you, reds and blues!) can stain the nail bed. Using a base coat won’t necessarily prevent this, but it can reduce the stain.

There are many different types of base layers that you can buy to suit your needs. Some harden, some strengthen, some hydrate, some smooth. There are peel-off base coats that only last a day (this sounds ridiculous, but if you’ve ever tried to remove glitter nail polish, you’ll understand the value).

My favorite base coat is a “sticky” type like our So Base-ic. It dries rubbery and gives the color some adhesion, so the manicure lasts longer. It works great if you have oily skin (and nails) or if you frequently use moisturizing products like balms, lotions, or oils.

Base Coat/top Coat Treatment

Topcoats provide a nice, clear layer of varnish between your color and the elements. There are also many types of top layers. Fast-drying, reinforcing, thick (for chunky highlights) and effects like matte, holographic and flake topcoats.

Hands down my favorite top coat from the 5 Fast Fingers free quick dryer. This top coat is applied when the color is still wet and the manicure dries in minutes. I still highly recommend going to the bathroom before starting your manicure, because even the fastest drying top coat won’t resist the button on your favorite jeans without care and precision. The base and clear lacquer paint system. On cars used after 1997. It consists of a base color paint and a clear resin coating to protect it. In the case of some resins, the area to be coated must be scraped to give the resin a rough surface. This is not true for the transparent layer.

The base coat/clear coat system describes how cars are painted. Older cars were only painted in one color. As paint jobs became more complex, with pearlescent or metallic finishes, these simple paints didn’t hold up. New paints were developed that added these coatings to the base color. A clear coat is placed over the paint to protect it. This is called preparing for a BC/CC paint job.

Before a car can be painted with bc/cc, it must be sanded, primed and primed. Old paint must be removed, usually by gentle scraping. Any dents must be covered with body putty and carefully sanded down. Using a urethane primer frees up areas that need to be worked on, especially with dark colored primer. The primer sets on the low spots, so the high spots that need sanding get a slightly lighter color. You can use several layers of primer until you are satisfied with the smoothness of the car body.

The base coat is applied after smoothing the car during priming. Apply the base layer by layer, allowing each layer to dry for at least five to ten minutes. This is best done indoors to reduce dust particles in the paint. After the last coat has dried, wash the car with soap and water to remove grease and fingerprints that can cause the next clear coat to bubble or discolor to “fish eyes.”

Moisten the base coat before starting the clear coat. Wet sanding makes surfaces smoother. This is often a step for polishing cars and other objects. If the base coat gets wet, wash the vehicle with soap and water after this step, not before. Once the base coat is smooth and clean, start spraying three or four coats of clear coat. Do not scrape off the base coat beforehand. The transparent layer goes on a smooth surface, not rough.

The transparent coating serves to protect the car, but at first it requires special care. Do not wax or take it to a car wash in the first thirty days. This gives the solvents and other chemicals in the paint time to properly dry and evaporate. If these chemicals don’t evaporate, they can cause blistering in the paint and ruin the sanding, smoothing and painting you’ve done. In my last post, I raved about Dadi’s Cuticle Oil, which really helped my dry skin. . Today I have two products from the same company, Famous Names, to review. These are Lumos top and bottom polishes. I was sent the Bittersweet Pea Blogstore.

According to the instructions on the website, you have to be very careful when applying the base coat and top coat. The base coat should be applied to the free edge of the nail, then the nail color should be applied over the free edge, leaving a space around the cuticle, and then the top coat should cover the free edge as well.
