Get The Look: Vintage Wedding Tablescape

Two months before our date, we decided to switch to an intimate tree-filled wedding. In retrospect, I think there was something beautiful about stripping weddings down to their bare bones. We’ve chosen a vintage, independent, fun and bohemian vibe with an earthy neutral color palette. I’m a graphic artist + yoga instructor and Scott is a chef, so our creative spirits are harnessed every day. We had to open up all the back rooms the night before – a labor of love as our family and friends helped make sure all the details were there. About the day we fell in love.

Artist Calligraphy designed B’s promise book and her ring is vintage. We love how she mixes old and new with these heavenly jets of wedding shoes!

I lost both parents and figuring out how to honor that day without forgetting is a difficult thing for me. In the month leading up to the wedding, every morning I lit a candle in their honor and let myself cry as I talked to my parents. I realized that this celebration is like slowly releasing the air from a balloon to accept all the love and joy that surrounds us when our day arrives. We also set up an altar in their memory and used to ring the bells, each time the bell rings, signifying their presence.

The bride’s dress is by Studio Suits + Frank & Buck. We also love that cute owl pin!

B+S sourced flowers from a local Park &Bloom to create the ceremony plans and wedding table decorations.

Our ceremony was my favorite part of the day. In fact, nothing is traditional. I decided that I would like to walk there, knowing that I am not alone. Scott met me halfway and we walked other paths together, charting the next chapter of our lives together. I asked my friend Erin to start our ceremony
