Brides and Tailor is primarily a small ecommerce business so the entire process is done online from A-Z. We work with brides all over the US and are not a traditional restaurant where customers can buy off the rack. After the dress is finished, it is sent directly to the bride. Final fittings can be prepared for local Michigan brides after the dress is finished with our local seamstress in Canton, Michigan.

After we receive inspirational photos or drawings of the design that the bride wants, we first make sure that the material is available and that the final result of the dress is at least 80% similar to the final result that the bride has in mind. We only use inspirational photos to understand the full concept that the bride is looking for. We do not sell designer gowns. We use only the highest quality materials in all our gowns. Throughout the process, we keep the customer updated about the process and share photos of the gown with the customer before shipping!
The mission of Bride and Tailor is to provide brides with the wedding dress of their dreams in a size that fits them. Customers have the option to enter standard inspection rates. However, after confirmation, the bride will receive our step-by-step measurements guide and will be asked to be measured at the venue/tailor at her location. After he sends us his measurements, we repeat them on the mannequin to make sure it looks realistic. If any measurements are affected, we will contact the customer back/ask them to double check. The measurements are pretty straight forward and the bride should go through the guide photos before meeting with any tailor to make sure she gets them right.

You don’t need to wait 6 months to have your wedding dress made, as it can be done in an average of 12 weeks.
We ship our bridal gowns using FedEx Home Delivery and USPS Priority Mail for fast tracking and delivery. The garment is carefully wrapped to ensure that the beading and all the work is protected and placed inside a strong and reliable packaging box in our high quality garment dust bag to keep the garment clean and tidy. All packages must be signed. Couriers cannot leave packages outside on the porch/front porch.

As with any traditional wedding dress, the bride may need minor alterations. If you visit a bridal salon in Michigan, have your final service with us, and realize that the dress needs a few tweaks to fit perfectly, we will gladly take care of it for you. Brides who send their gowns usually don’t need any alterations to the dresses because they are custom made, so if there is a small change like removing a few inches, any local tailor can help with that. We do not cover the cost of changes. If the dress needs additional fabric/clothing for minor alterations, we will be happy to assist the bride.
