Orders placed before midnight are usually (but not always) dispatched the next working day (Monday to Friday). UPS does not deliver on Saturdays or Sundays. You will automatically receive an email from UPS with tracking numbers when your order ships. Hot Weather: We only ship orders that can melt in hot weather to arrive on Friday of the same week. Your order can be held until the following Monday. Otherwise, you could be melting candy in a hot UPS truck over the weekend. You will receive an email notifying you of the delay.

Below (scroll down) is a UPS map showing shipping times from our Cleveland, Ohio location. The number of days shown is in working days (Monday – Friday). Use the map to determine when your candy will arrive. Please note that your candy is usually shipped the next business day. Warm weather shipments may be delayed to prevent melting. *Please note that large orders may take longer.

This is not correct. Orders placed before midnight are usually shipped the next business day, meaning your candy will arrive the next day. Example: An order placed with UPS Next Day Air on Monday will ship on Tuesday and arrive on Wednesday.

Effective March 26, 2020 and until further notice, UPS has suspended the UPS Service Guarantee for all shipments from any origin to any destination. For all shipments originating in the US, the suspension of the service guarantee took effect on March 24, 2020

Note: It is always best to ship to a business location if possible. UPS will leave the package as long as someone signs for it and it will be protected from theft and hot weather.

Sour Gummy Bears

We offer a flat rate of $9.95 for all orders in the US (lower 48 states). For USPS and UPS Next Day, 2nd Day and 3-Day Select, charges are based on weight, size and zip code. Please note that the delivery weight will always exceed the weight of the products you have purchased. Shipping is free on all US orders over $250 (lower 48 states; not combinable with other discounts).

Usually UPS will leave the package at a door when no one is home, but this is completely at the discretion of the UPS driver. The driver will leave a message of a delivery attempt along with the delivery instructions. If you live in an apartment building, they usually will NOT leave the package at your door. If you are not available on the day of delivery, your package may be delivered to a local UPS Access Point and you must collect it there. A UPS Access Point is a local company that works with UPS to hold your package for you and collect it at your convenience. Your UPS tracking information tells you the location of the access point. You must collect your package within 14 days or it will be returned to us. Packages returned will only be credited for the amount of the candy, less a 10% restocking fee. Returned candies that have been melted and/or personalized are not eligible for a refund.

We do not offer this option as it involves additional costs and delays that can lead to melting in hot weather. We recommend that you ship to your work address or neighbors who are available to accept delivery.

Yes! Chocolate, marshmallows and many jelly candies melt at temperatures above 75 degrees. In warm weather, one or more Ice-Brix refrigerant gel packs will be added to your order free of charge. If necessary, we use a cool box, also at no extra cost. The Old Time Candy Company is located in and ships from northern Ohio. After receiving your candy order, we recommend placing it in the air conditioning if possible. If not, place the candy in the refrigerator before opening. The purpose of Ice-Brix is to prevent the candy from melting, NOT to keep the candy cold. Ice-Brix is reusable and works well for picnics, camping and sprained ankles. Ice-Brix is NOT for human consumption. APO & FPO orders – Ice-Brix will NOT last long enough to protect your candy. You send at your own risk.

Shipping delays are possible: the need for Ice-Brix may delay your shipment. We send your sweets no later than Friday of the same week in which your order was placed. Yes you can and shipping via USPS Priority Mail is free. Delivery times vary, but usually take 10 to 14 days to reach the destination. Unfortunately no, we don’t have a shop and the zoning plan doesn’t allow it. We process all of our candy orders online and ship from our warehouse.
